Pūjari Rev. Anjin Devadipa (Chris Rossi, aka Lady Phaezara) received ordination as a Pūjari-Priest on May 15, 2022. She joined Lotus Heart Zen in 2014 and studied with Ven. Myohye Do’an as her guiding teacher and with Buddha Dharma University.
Anjin’s spiritual path has been winding, and diverse. Raised and traditionally schooled as a Catholic, she realized in adulthood that something was missing for her and began her exploration into also discovering and celebrating the feminine divine. Joining a Wiccan tradition, she studied and elevated as a third-degree priestess and became clergy, leading her own teaching and moon circles. Earth based, Pagan and shamanic practices are an important part of her continuing spiritual connection. Many teachers from a variety of traditions, have passed on their wisdom and she will forever have gratitude for them. Studying and practicing Zen Buddhism has helped her to realize the preciousness of life, relationship and connection through meditation and continued service to the community.
Anjin recently retired as a NYS regulator who directed emergency environmental cleanups and investigated a variety of pollution sites for over 37 years.
She lives in Canastota, New York, and serves as Vice-President for Lotus Heart Zen in Oneida, New York. She received priesthood and is training under Ven. Myohye Do'an of One Point Mind.
